• Dolphins suspend Frylinck

Dolphins all-rounder Robbie Frylinck has been suspended from his franchise with immediate effect.

The reason for and length of 31-year-old Frylinck’s suspension is unknown. Dolphins CEO Pete de Wet told ESPNcricinfo.com ‘I cannot elaborate on the details except to say that this is in no way linked to the CSA investigation into match-fixing.’

Frylinck last played for the Dolphins in the Momentum One Day Cup in October last year, putting in an impressive all-round performance against the Cape Cobras with 2-41 with the ball and 72 with the bat. He’s played in all three formats for KwaZulu-Natal this year.

He was supposed to be a part of the Dolphins’ plans for the remainder of the One Day Cup, as they take on the Cobras on Friday. He’s been in the domestic setup for over 11 years, and played as a Kolpak player for Surrey in 2008.
