Russell Domingo says South Africa need to a find a way to get themselves out of the hole they are in.

South Africa lost the third Test against England by seven wickets and thereby surrendered the series 2-0 with the final Test to be played at Centurion.

Domingo faced some tough questions from SuperSport presenter and commentator Mike Haysman after the game.

‘We thought we got ourselves back in the game on Saturday morning; unfortunately it didn’t go for us after that with the bat,’ Domingo said.

Asked whether these batting collapses had become a little too familiar, Domingo admitted it was a concern.

‘That was a concern. Look, it’s a strange wicket because it’s definitely a wicket where if you bowled really well you were in the game. Probably not a 80-all-out wicket, but credit to England: they bowled outstandingly after lunch and put us under pressure. They got the balls in the right areas and gave us absolutely nothing to hit. They’ve got a very experienced attack and they exploited those conditions very well.

‘A little bit of both I suppose [inadequate batting or Stuart Broad just bowling well],’ Domingo said.

‘They bowled really well, but obviously we didn’t bat as well as we possibly can so we are very disappointed by the way we went about our business.

‘We have to find a way to get ourselves out of this hole that we currently find ourselves in. The dressing room is still united and we will stick together.’
