Rassie van der Dussen and Andries Gous were among the standout South African performers abroad over the past week.
Global T20 Canada
Proteas batsman Rassie van der Dussen scored 30* off 34 balls (four fours) and Welkom-born USA international Andries Gous 58* off 49 (eight fours) to secure the Toronto Nationals an eight-wicket victory over the Montreal Tigers in the Global T20 Canada final.
Titans all-rounder Corbin Bosch scored 35 off 33 deliveries (four fours) for the Tigers.
The Hundred
Joburg-born England international Keaton Jennings – son of former SA wicketkeeper Ray – hit 31 off 18 balls (three fours, two sixes) in the London Spirit’s 22-run defeat to the Trent Rockets.
Jennings continued his fine form with 61* off 50 deliveries (six fours) in the Spirit’s 12-run loss to the Manchester Originals.
Joburg-born fast bowler John Turner – who was Hilton College’s head boy in 2019 – took 3-24 for the Trent Rockets in their nail-biting final ball-defeat to the Southern Brave.
There’s nothing you can do to that 😳
