No South Africans were included in the ICC’s 2024 T20 World Cup Team of the Tournament XI despite the Proteas reaching the final.
However, Proteas quick Anrich Nortje was named as 12th man.
The XI includes six players from champions India and three from Afghanistan, who reached the semi-finals for the first time.
The selection panel consisted of commentators Harsha Bhogle, Ian Bishop and Kass Naidoo and ICC general manager of cricket Wasim Khan.
