Bangladesh beat South Africa by three wickets in Rajshahi on Monday to win the U19 one-day series 3-2.
The tourists batted first after losing the toss and were dismissed for 210 with two balls of the 50th over remaining.
David Teeger top-scored with 63 off 89 deliveries, with captain Juan James (32), Richard Seletswane (27) and Liam Alder (20) making useful contributions.
Bangladesh captain Mahfuzur Rabby was the pick of the bowlers with 3-43.
The outstanding Alder (4-23) and James (3-32) regularly picked up Bangladesh wickets, but Adil Bin Siddik (58 off 70 balls) and Ariful Islam (68 off 76) ensured the hosts emerged victorious with 17 deliveries to spare.
It was a disappointing end to an encouraging trip for Malibongwe Maketa’s charges, who were using the tour as preparation for next year’s U19 World Cup in Sri Lanka.
