Bjorn Fortuin delivered a brilliant all-round performance as the Central Gauteng Lions claimed a 28-run victory against Western Province at the Wanderers on Wednesday.
Fortuin followed his unbeaten first-innings 123 with a second-innings 65 as the Lions posted 315 to set their opponents 216 to win.
The spinner then took 6-69 (to add to his 3-63 in the first innings) to help bowl WP out for 187.
Daniel Smith (61) and Edward Moore (59) made the only significant contributions for the visitors with the bat.
In Durban, the KZN Dolphins claimed a seven-wicket win against the Northerns Titans after reaching their target of 51 in 15.3 overs.
Donovan Ferreira picked up all three wickets to fall on the final morning.

At St Georges’ Park, the Free State Knights celebrated a 161-run against the EP Warriors.
Having been set an improbable 446 to win, the Warriors resumed their innings on 167-2 with Matthew Breetzke and Rudi Second at the crease.
The pair took their team to 207 before Aubrey Swanepoel trapped Second lbw for 77, and while Breetzke went on to make 111, his dismissal – lbw to Nealan van Heerden – signalled the beginning of the end.
Van Heerden and Swanepoel finished with three wickets each, while Nhlakanipho Mpungose took 4-46.
