The Boland Rocks and Free State Knights qualified for the T20 Challenge semi-finals after Tuesday’s final round of the league stage.
The table-topping Northerns Titans will take on the Knights in Wednesday’s first semi-final at 2:30pm, followed by the KZN Dolphins up against the Rocks at 6pm.
On Tuesday, the Knights lost by 22 runs to the North West Dragons while the Rocks’ match against the Central Gauteng Lions was abandoned due to rain without a ball being bowled.
The Lions needed a bonus-point win over the Rocks to go above the Knights to secure a spot in the semis.
After being put into bat, the Dragons posted 154-6 with captain Heino Kuhn making 50 off 47 balls before Duan Jansen (39 off 15) and Delano Potgieter (18*) shared a 53-run partnership.
Gerald Coetzee (2-24 in four overs) claimed the crucial wickets of Kuhn and Jansen.
The Knights were bowled out for 132 in 16.4 overs.
Caleb Seleka (3-13) and Renaldo Meyer (3-26) each took three wickets in their four overs.
