SA U19 and the Northern Cape Heat will contest the CSA T20 Knock Out final at Buffalo Park on Sunday.
The two teams emerged victorious against the Eastern Cape Iinyathi and KZN Inland Tuskers, respectively, in Saturday’s semi-finals in East London.
The Heat avenged their loss in last season’s One-Day Cup final when they defeated the Tuskers by 17 runs.
The Heat won the toss and opted to bat first, with Grant Thomson’s unbeaten 54* off 36 balls helping them post 142-5.
They then restricted the Tuskers to 125-9, with Andrew Rasemene taking 3-27 and Benjamin van Rensburg and Romano Terblanche two wickets each.
In the second semi-final, SA U19 secured a four-wicket victory over the Eastern Cape Iinyathi.
Iinyathi captain Marco Marais hit 64 off 40 as his side made 160-9. Liam Alder (2-25), Matthew Boast (2-31) and Liyema Waqu (2-33) all fired with the ball for SA U19.
SA U19 reached the target with seven balls to spare, thanks to opener Ronan Hermann’s 44 off 26 balls and Juan James’ 31* off 19.
Sunday’s final will start at 2pm.
