JP Duminy could coach the Paarl Royals in South Africa’s new T20 league.
The former Proteas batsman has already taken charge of the Boland Rocks provincial team.
According to Rapport newspaper, former Easterns head coach Richard das Neves could be one of Duminy’s assistant coaches at the franchise that was bought by the Rajasthan Royals.
Lance Klusener has already been confirmed as head coach of the Durban franchise, which is owned by the Lucknow Super Giants, while Stephen Fleming and Eric Simons will coach the Joburg franchise that was bought by the Chennai Super Kings.
Rapport has also learned that Hampshire’s Adi Birrell, who owns a farm near Grahamstown, is set to coach one of the other franchises.
He confirmed that he was engaged in discussions, but could not elaborate.
