Pace-bowling great Wasim Akram says Viv Richards was one of “the greatest” batsmen he had the pleasure of trying to bounce out.
The former Pakistan speedster was responding to a tweet from a cricket video archivist, who dug up a ripper from Akram to Richards in an ODI match against the West Indies.
The Windies batting icon says it was the fastest ball he ever faced in his career, and Akram was regularly clocked at reaching top speeds of over 140km/h.
