    Ben Stokes somehow escaped this Cameron Green delivery with his stumps intact.

    Umpire Paul Reiffel initially gave Stokes, who was on 16, out lbw but the England batsman reviewed it immediately.

    TV replays showed the ball had smashed into the top of off-stump without dislodging the bails.

    TV commentators later revealed that the fourth umpire had said, at the end of Thursday’s play, that the stumps were too loose. The holes were then filled in with mud, which solidified the stumps.
