England remarkably skittled Australia for just 60 in the first session of the fourth Test at Trent Bridge, with Stuart Broad taking 8-15 on his home ground.

- The fifth wicket to fall took 25 balls – the fewest amount in the history of Tests
- Australia were bowled out for 60 in 18.3 overs. It was their 8th lowest total of all time
- Seventh lowest total against England
- Seventh shortest completed innings of all time
- Second shortest completed innings in the Ashes
- It was the first time in the Ashes that extras has been the highest run-scorer
