Devdutt Padikkal struck a memorable century while Virat Kohli finished unbeaten on 72 as the Royal Challengers Bangalore cruised to a 10-wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals on Thursday.
After the Royals had found themselves in big trouble batting first at 4-43 (with David Miller dismissed for a duck), they managed to battle their way to a total of 177 (Chris Morris contributing just 10).
Yet, this total was chased down with no trouble at all with more than three overs remaining. Padikkal’s 101 was scored off just 52 balls, while Kohli constructed a well-played 72 as RCB continued their impressive start to the IPL.
