New Zealand secured a massive innings and 176-run victory over Pakistan in the second Test, taking them to the top of the ICC Test rankings.
A dominant batting display by Kane Williamson once again provided the Black Caps with a good platform to put the visitors under pressure.
Starting the day on 8-1, it didn’t take long for Trent Boult and Kyle Jamieson to hit the right lengths, picking up the wickets of Mohammad Abbas and Abid Ali.

Jamieson, in particular, was effective and ripped through the Pakistan middle order by dismissing Haris Sohail and Azhar Ali – the latter top-scoring for Pakistan with 37.
Jamieson then picked up his fifth wicket of the innings when he bowled Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan reeling on 98-6.
Boult added two more scalps to his tally, while Jamieson picked up a sixth as Pakistan were dismissed for only 187.
Jamieson was named man of the match for his showing with the ball, while Williamson walked away with the player of the series award.
The series triumph moved New Zealand above Australia in the Test rankings.
