Kane Williamson is on the brink of yet another Test century as New Zealand took control of the Test against Pakistan.
Williamson is unbeaten on 94 at stumps, accumulating his runs in a patient innings that has featured 234 deliveries. The innings guided his team to a commanding 223/3.
His 133-run partnership was Ross Taylor rescued the Black Caps from an awful start during which they lost both openers for just 13 runs.
Shaheen Afridi, who took all Pakistan’s wickets, eventually broke partnership when he knicked Taylor off for 70, but Henry Nicholls stood firm with Williamson to be unbeaten on 42 at stumps.
