Spinner George Linde came to the Cape Cobras’ rescue with the bat on Thursday with a match-saving half-century to have their clash with the Lions end in a draw.
The men from the Cape began the day on 55-3, still 155 runs behind in Johannesburg, but made solid strides of keeping the game alive with half-centuries by Tony de Zorzi and Kyle Verreynne.

Proteas bowler Beauran Hendricks kept chipping away at wickets, reaching a 10-wicket haul for the game.
The Cobras fell to 204-7 but Linde and Nandre Burger combined to see their team build a lead over the Lions.
Linde made 69 and Burger 38 as the Cobras reached stumps on 302-7 and the match ended in a draw.

In Bloemfontein, the Knights crushed the Dolphins with a heavy 227-run victory and Migael Pretorius again doing some damage with second-round figures of 4-52, taking his match tally to seven wickets.
