Relive the magnificent innings by Faf du Plessis during the fifth and final ODI of South Africa’s tour to India in 2015.
With the series all squared at 2-2, the Proteas batted first under extremely hot and humid Mumbai conditions.
But, it would become one of the best batting displays by a Protea team in limited overs cricket with Quinton de Kock, Du Plessis and AB de Villiers smashing their way to standout centuries.
Du Plessis, though, battled the hardest as he began to struggle with severe cramps towards the end of his innings that saw him hit the ground after almost every shot he played until he was later unable to run between the wickets.
He would eventually retire hurt with his score on 133 off 115 deliveries but it helped the Proteas a massive 438-4 in their 50 overs.
In response, India failed to get going and were bowled out for 224 as the Proteas claimed the series 3-2 with a big victory in Mumbai.
