Lungi Ngidi showed incredible composure during the final over on Wednesday night to restrict the England batters and ultimately win the match for South Africa.
England required seven runs for victory off the final six balls with Tom Curran and Moeen Ali at the crease, but Ngidi got rid of Curran off the second ball of the over before clean bowling Ali three deliveries later.
It meant Adil Rashid had to face the final ball of the innings with England needing three runs for victory or two runs to send the match into a super over.
Ngidi pitched it up and Rashid failed to make proper contact but the English spinner tried to go for two runs nonetheless, only to be run out by Dale Steyn as the Proteas won by one run in East London.
