Dolphins fast bowler Daryn Dupallion and spinner Prenelan Subrayen are among a strong KwaZulu-Natal Coastal squad named for this month’s Provincial T20 Cup.
Dupallion and Subrayen will also play for the Durban Heat in the Mzansi Super League later this year. The former was purchased for R200,000 in round eight of last week’s MSL player draft. The latter was bought for R120,000 in round 11.
‘It is a high-pressure situation with the group we are in and we are going up to Benoni to finish top of our pool,’ said captain Calvin Savage.
‘It is a tough pool but we are trying to just worry about ourselves because if we go and focus on the others, then our focus shifts away from the job that we have to do.
‘We are going to make sure that when we play on Friday that we are playing a very positive brand of cricket and we know that if we are trying to be positive then that is half the battle won.’
Savage recently captained the Pietermaritzburg Spurs to the title in the second edition of the Dolphins Premier League.
