Kane Williamson earns Play of the Day honours for his superb one-handed catch.

New Zealand are a side that pride themselves in their fielding, and skipper Williamson led from the front with an excellent catch at gully.

The Proteas were starting to go along quite nicely, with Faf du Plessis building up some momentum with a couple of boundaries. At 160-4 and the partnership between Temba Bavuma and Du Plessis standing at 56, a decent final session looked on the cards for the hosts.

Having smoked a boundary with the first ball of the over, Du Plessis’ old Affies mate Neil Wagner tempted him to try again, and a streaky shot followed, which looked to be heading past Williamson, only for him to grab it goalkeeper style, and send the Proteas skipper back for 23. It proved the catalyst for a disappointing final session from the Proteas.
