Dale Steyn could be close to a return after tweeting about his shoulder injury on Thursday.
The 33-year-old Proteas star was last in action on 3 November 2016 against Australia in Perth, when he pulled out of the series due to a shoulder injury.
As a result, he underwent surgery which ruled him out for a minimum of six months, with his eye on a return in February, but the recovery process was longer than expected.
In a tweet on Thursday Steyn hinted that he would be back in action soon.

Steyn is currently 10th on the all-time wicket-takers list, with 417 sticks in 85 matches and is on the brink of overtaking Proteas legend Shaun Pollock (421 in 108 Tests) as South Africa’s leading wicket-taker.
